These tools utilize exhaust gasses generated from a burning power charge to generate
relative motion between the pistons and the cylinders. This motion allows force to be applied to a
downhole sealing product, such as a plug, packer, or patch. Once the required force is applied to this
sealing product, a designed break point with a closely controlled shear force value, breaks and the
product is set. The tool may then be retrieved for cleaning and reuse.
